Hello everyone! I’m Sebastian Carlos. I’m called Basti by my family. I was born last July 24, 2009 by Ceasarean Section My mom, Linlin, had a difficult labor because I was so big. I weighed 7 lbs and 8 oz, which is pretty heavy for a newborn like me.

Mommy Linlin began her labor in the afternoon of July 22 in the evening and my grandparents admitted her to the hospital. Then the next day, my Daddy Surki arrived from a long drive from work. Dad’s a policeman and he’s assigned in a far far place down south of Mindanao Island.
On the 24th day of July, a Friday, at about 7pm, my Mom’s doctor and my grandma were discussing the possibility of having my Mom undergo a C/S. It was just the right decision. Because the doctor said that my mom’s cervix is quite thick plus I’m big and also Mom’s asthma might be triggered by too much stress from the contractions of her uterus.
So thanks God for modern medicine. I was welcomed into the world at around 8:12PM at the operating room. Then my pedia placed me in the isolette for 24 hour observation. So far, there has been no complications and I’m pretty much a healthy baby boy.
